Asset Property Manager


This salaried position is responsible for leasing and addressing tenant and maintenance concerns at assigned properties in compliance with the Elkhart Housing Authority (EHA) and Housing Urban Development’s (HUD) management regulations, policies and procedures. To continuously ensure that all residents are certified to be eligible public housing tenants.

Family Self Sufficiency Coordinator

 
The position is responsible for the Family Self Sufficiency (FSS) and Homeownership programs. The position is under supervision of the HCV Department Director.

This individual must recruit new Family Self Sufficiency Participants as turn over occurs. Regular client meetings must be conducted to provide necessary counseling to the participants. The position must market the FSS program to HCV and Public Housing program participants, make client referrals, and schedule speakers for FSS/Homeownership group meetings. Responsible for recruiting PCC (Program Coordination Committee)

Members and conducting PCC member meetings, direct clients through FSS training program and Homeownership purchases, conduct home maintenance classes as required under the Homeownership Program.

​​General Maintenance Technician  

Under the direction of the Department Director, this position is responsible for the general maintenance, repairs, and rehabilitation of units, equipment, and property. This position must complete all assigned work orders in accordance with PHAS standards. This position has rotating on-call responsibilities.

Custodian  

Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance, this position is responsible for the general maintenance, repairs, and rehabilitation of high-rise units, equipment, and property.  This position must complete all assigned work orders in accordance with NSPIRE standards.

Grounds Keeper


This position is under the direction of the Department Director, or the department supervisor in the director’s absence. This position is responsible for the general upkeep of grounds and minor exterior repairs at all Elkhart Housing Authority properties. Responsible for small motor repairs. Assists with other maintenance tasks such as move-outs, make-readies, graffiti removal, smoke detector and light bulb replacements as needed.
